New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has expressed concern over the security lapse during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab. He is going to meet PM Modi soon. According to reports, the President is likely to meet PM Modi in the afternoon. Some time ago the President had spoken to PM Modi regarding the incident in Punjab and expressed concern.

Actually, PM Modi was going for a rally in Punjab’s Ferozepur on Wednesday, but the road was blocked due to protests on the way. Because of this, PM Modi’s convoy was stuck on the flyover for 15-20 minutes. Later he had to cancel the rally and return from Punjab.

What did the CM say Channi?

CM Channi says that he was not aware that the protesters were already camping on Moga Road, where PM Modi’s convoy had stopped for 20 minutes. The irony is that the protesters were aware of every movement of PM Modi, while the Punjab Police itself was not aware that they had blocked the flyover.

The double standard of CM Charanjit Singh Channi has also been seen on this issue. He said that he did not go to pick up PM Modi as he has come in contact with corona infected people and hence is in isolation. Where CM Channi was seen holding a press conference on Wednesday evening, that too without a mask.
