Industry and construction grew during November • Channel C

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) said this Thursday that last November, industry and construction showed interannual increases of 10.1% and 8.4%, respectively.

Private studies had advanced that, although at a slower pace, the expansion continued in the last month of last year. Based on the figures from the official body, manufacturing activity accumulated thirteen consecutive months of growth and between January and November the accumulated increase is 16.3% compared to the same period last year.

Favored by the closure of imports, the clothing sector is the one with the highest increase: 67.1%, at the same time that prices also soar up to 70% over a year ago.

Meanwhile, construction also adds 13 consecutive months of positive annual results and according to INDEC its level is 23.1% higher than that registered prior to the pandemic.

In the January-November comparison compared to 2019, the progress is 3.6%.
