India will export mango and pomegranate to America again after 2 years, pork will come from there

After a gap of about two years, India will once again start exporting Mango to America. The Commerce Ministry said on Saturday 8 January that the export of mango and pomegranate from India to the US would start in January-February this year. At the same time, pomegranate arils will start from April this year. The Commerce Ministry said that this will help in increasing the country’s agricultural exports.

The Commerce Ministry said that on 23 November 2021, the 12th meeting of the Trade Policy Forum (TPF) between India and America was held. During the same meeting, India’s Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) signed agreements on “providing two agricultural products to be marketed in their country”.

Under this agreement, export of mango, pomegranate and pomegranate seeds from India will be started in the US market. At the same time, American cherry and alfalfa fodder will be given access to the Indian market. “The export of mango and pomegranate will start in January-February, 2022 and export of pomegranate seeds will start from April, 2022,” the ministry said. Let us tell you that India has not exported mangoes to America for the last two years.
