Free Fire India Pro Esports Circuit 2022

During the 2022 esports season, Garena will host two pro seasons consisting of two major tournaments. The first will be the Free Fire Pro League (FFPL) followed by the Free Fire India Championship (FFIC). A total prize pool of over Rs 1.35 crore will be awarded in each Pro Season.

In 2022, Garena will host the following four blockbuster Free Fire events in India:

  1. Free Fire India Championship 2022
  2. Spring Free Fire Pro League 2022
  3. Summer Free Fire India Championship 2022
  4. Fall Free Fire Pro League 2022 Winter

The season for the pro esports circuit will begin with the FFIC 2022 Spring, as the first tournament to be held. This means that the FFPL teams in the top six of the 2021 Winter will be invited directly to the FFIC 2022 Spring.

As part of Free Fire’s international tournaments, each FFIC will act as a national qualifier. In this competition, the best teams from across India will compete for Rs 1 crore in prize money.

There are two ways for teams to qualify for the FFIC league stage:

  1. Finish in the top six of the last Free Fire Pro League season
  2. Achieve Top 12 Ranking in FFIC Closed Qualifier Stage

In the in-game qualifier, the Free Fire Cup, all teams and players interested in esports will be able to participate. The top teams in the Free Fire Cup will advance to the Closed Qualifiers, where they will take on teams ranked 7th to 12th in the Free Fire Pro League. Teams in this category will compete for the remaining 12 places in the FFIC League. A series of matches will be followed during the FFIC league phase, involving 18 teams. The top six teams will proceed immediately to qualify for the Grand Finals, while the remaining 12 teams will compete in the play-ins for the remaining six slots.

Free Fire Pro League 2022

Each Pro League tournament will feature 18 teams – the 12 finalists from last season’s FFIC and the top six teams from the Open Qualifiers. A prize pool of Rs 35 lakh will be awarded in each Pro League tournament, and the top seeds will qualify for the next FFIC.

Six of the top ten teams will advance directly to the next FFIC league stage, while teams seventh through 12 will skip the open qualifiers and advance directly to the close qualifiers.

For the FFIC spring of 2022, the top six finalists from the FFPL winter of 2021 will advance directly to the Spring League stage. After the FFPL 2021 Winter, the remaining six finalists will compete in the Closed Qualifiers for the remaining 12 places of the league stage with teams advancing from the Open Qualifiers. In the FFIC 2022 Spring Grand Final, the top 12 teams from the league stage will compete.
