Mexico applies 917,880 new doses of COVID vaccines; 153.6 million go – El Financiero

The Ministry of Health reported that today 917 thousand 880 new vaccines, leaving the total number of people with at least one dose at 153 million 673 thousand 555 so far, which represents 88 percent of the population.

There are 82 million 629 thousand 877 Mexicans vaccinated so far, of which it is estimated that 74 million 761 thousand 824 have the complete vaccination schedule, being the equivalent of 91 percent of the vaccinated people.

On the other hand, 7 million 865 thousand 053 people are vaccinated in a new scheme, which represents 9 percent of the population. It is estimated that the total number of elderly people in our country is 89 million 484 thousand 507.

The state with the majority of its population over 18 years of age vaccinated is CDMX with 100 percent, while the state of Chiapas is the state with the lowest population vaccinated so far with 69 percent. The state of Quintana Roo is the second with the most dose applied with 99 percent.

There are 201 million 299 thousand 735 total dose received from December 23, 2020.

Today a total of 97 thousand 397 were considered lost dose, for not being applied.

Of the 4 million 501 thousand 577 cases of COVID that Mexico has had, 3 million 383 thousand 566 people have recovered while 300 thousand 912 have died.
