IIT Kharagpur was to release the GATE 2022 admit card on January 7. However, now the process of issuing the admit card of GATE exam has been postponed. The admit card of the students who applied for the exam has not been issued on January 7. GATE 2022 exam schedule was released on the official website. According to this schedule, GATE 2022 exam is to be conducted in online mode on February 5, 6, 12 and 13. In the notice issued by IIT Kharagpur, these dates of examination have been described as ‘tentative’. That is, the exam date can be changed. Due to the spread of corona infection more, the date of examination can be extended by postponing these examinations.
The admit cards for Engineering Graduate Aptitude Test i.e. GATE 2022 were earlier to be issued on January 4, but these admit cards were not issued on January 4. Then the date of issue of admit card was extended to 7 January. Now on January 7, the admit card has been temporarily banned. Also, the new date of issuance of admit card has not been disclosed yet. By qualifying GATE 2022 candidates will be eligible for recruitment in Public Sector Undertaking. There is an interview or test in the PSU recruitment process. Some PSUs also directly recruit on the basis of GATE score.
Applicants were given a chance to rectify the erroneous GATE application form 2022 by November 18. The authorities had canceled the exam cities of Panipat, Sonipat and Idukki. Candidates opting for these GATE 2022 exam cities could change their cities during the correction facility till November 15 without any additional charges. This year, two new tests, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Geomatics Engineering have been added to the GATE exam. After this, the total number of papers in the GATE exam has gone up to 29. At the same time, the number of exam centers for GATE 2022 exam was already reduced by IIT Kharagpur. Candidates who want to get admission in MTech and other PG courses through GATE or get admitted in PSU can get eligibility for this through GATE exam 2022.
