Samajwadi Party and RLD alliance released the first list of candidates

Samajwadi Party (SP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) alliance has released the first list of candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022. Samajwadi Party’s Nahid Ahmed has been fielded from Kairana, while Prasanna Choudhary of RLD has been fielded from Shamli. Ahmed Hamid will contest from Meerut on RLD ticket. Amarpal Sharma will be the SP candidate from Sahibabad and Zafar Alam will contest from Aligarh seat.

The NCP on Thursday announced its decision to contest the UP elections along with the Samajwadi Party. NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik said, “We have decided to contest elections in Uttar Pradesh with Samajwadi Party. One seat has been announced and talks are on for other seats. We are looking forward to the alliance to be formed in UP.” will support.”

Meanwhile, in another setback to the BJP, Dharam Singh Saini, Minister of State (Ayush, Food Safety and Drug Administration) for Uttar Pradesh resigned from the party, becoming the third cabinet minister to do so ahead of the state assembly elections. Citing the state government’s “gross disregard” for Dalits, backward classes, farmers, educated unemployed youth and small traders as the reason behind his decision, Saini met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in the afternoon.
