The woman, identified as Aya Yousef, was a teacher at Khalid ibn al-Walid Primary School and was fired after dancing videos shot on the Nile cruise surfaced on the Internet. At the same time, the second charge fell on her when Yusef’s husband divorced her after the video became nationally popular.
In this video that went viral, Yusef was seen dancing with his teammates wearing headscarf and full-sleeved clothes. However, she got a lot of appreciation for this belly dance on social media. But after a few moments he had to pay a heavy price for it. According to media reports, Yusef was fired by the primary school in Dakahlia Governorate of the Nile Delta. She taught Arabic there.
Yousef was deeply shocked by this. He had never imagined that this skill of his has become such a big problem for him today. A section on social media is also criticizing him fiercely. Meanwhile, the head of the Egyptian Women’s Rights Center, Dr. Nihad Abu Qumsan, offered Yousef a job in her office. He has also advised Yousef to bring necessary documents to file a legal complaint against his dismissal.
