Voltas shares up 2.11% on Sensex fall

Ltd. shares were trading 2.11 per cent higher at Rs 1297.0 at 10:05 am (IST) on Friday. BSE Benchmark Sensex 243.9 points fell to 60991.4. The stock had closed at Rs 1270.15 in the previous session.

The stock bid 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 1356.9 and Rs 876.9 respectively.

As per BSE data, the total trading volume over the counter as of 10:05 am (IST) stood at 10:05 am with a business turnover of Rs 2.69 crore.

BSE data shows that at the current price, the stock trades at 71.11 times its 12-month earnings of Rs 17.86 per share and 6.64 times its price-to-book value.

A high P/E ratio indicates that investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of expectations for future growth. Value-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is a measure of the price that investors are willing to pay even if there is no growth in the business.

The stock’s beta value, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.17.
