Budget Expectation 2022: On February 1, 2022, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget. Businessmen from all sectors are sending their box of expectations in the budget to the Finance Minister through different channels. Businessmen are expecting the budget to be such that during the third wave of Kovid-19, the economy should be boosted and business should be increased. Regarding the same demand of export and MSME sector, Rajkumar Malhotra, Chairman of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts had a special conversation with Hindi. Here are excerpts from this conversation… Rajkumar Malhotra said that between the first wave of Kovid and the lockdown, the businessmen changed the way of doing business and tried to shift it towards online. Fairs were also organized online and buyers started participating in those fairs online. Initially the business was affected but then gradually it started coming back on track. Now once again the third wave of Kovid is standing at the door and cases are increasing daily. In such a situation, the budget is such that it will help in boosting the economy and increase employment opportunities. Malhotra said that the government has taken many big steps to improve exports, especially handicrafts, and handicrafts exports have also benefited from it. Businessmen will still have to improve and rationalize GST rates, so that small business can be helped. ,
