ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has approved Finance Supplementary Bill 2022.

President Dr. Arif Alvi has signed the Finance Supplementary Bill 2022. On January 13, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen introduced the Finance Supplementary Bill 2022 in the House, which was passed by the National Assembly by a majority vote.

President Arif Alvi approved the bill under Article 75 of the Constitution, after which the Finance became the Supplementary Bill Act. In addition, the National Assembly had passed the SBP Amendment Bill 2022 by a majority vote.

The opposition had described the Finance Supplementary Bill as enslaving the IMF, while Prime Minister Imran Khan had praised Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen on important legislation.

The Prime Minister invited Shaukat Tareen to his seat and expressed happiness over his performance in passing the Bills.
