According to Delhi Retail Chemist Distributors, 5 to 10 thousand self test kits are being sold daily in Delhi.

According to the distributor, in the last few days, ever since many cases of corono have started coming up in Delhi, its demand has increased a lot. Sandeep Nangia, president of Delhi Retail Distribution Chemist Alliance, said that ever since this self-test kit has come in the market, people are buying it a lot, but their sales are increasing rapidly for the last few days.

Sandeep told that now 5 to 10 thousand kits are being sold daily. The reason for this is that these kits are cheap and without going anywhere, it is known at home whether it is infected or not. Sandeep Nangia said that so far no such guideline has been issued so that it can be known that how many people using this kit are becoming corona positive.

To know about the sale of this kit, we reached the Central Market of Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, we went to a drugstore and asked which self-covid test kits are available in the market these days. Here the seller said that some test kits certified by ICMR are easily available in the market. Some of these cost Rs 250, some cost Rs 325 and are also very easy to use.

The shopkeeper told that his sales have increased a lot in the last 5-6 days, 15 to 18 test kits are being sold daily in his shop, which earlier only 4 to 5 were sold in a day. The shopkeeper gave two reasons behind this, firstly due to the increasing cases of corona and secondly due to the change of weather, people are also trying to know through this kit whether they are sick with corona or not. then no.

Apart from this, when we asked the shopkeeper whether any data of those who bought this kit is taken? That is, if it turns out to be positive, then how is its information given to the administration or the government? On this, the shopkeeper said that some people update themselves but do not do anything, at present no such data is being prepared.
