According to Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of Guindi National Park, Guindi Children’s Park alone is considered one of the major tourist attractions in the city with eight to nine lakh visitors per year.

“The Kindi Children’s Park has been upgraded with animal enclosures, open play areas, a cafeteria, a children’s animal library, landscaping and visitor facilities,” he says.

20 crores, the government of Tamil Nadu has announced plans to redevelop Chennai Guindy National Park by creating habitats for birds, butterflies and animals.

“The park needs to be upgraded with more facilities to attract more people. More than 68,000 students from 1,050 schools visit Kindi Children’s Park every year,” says Sahu.

According to the order issued by him, the park was upgraded from the mini category to the medium category zoo. Spread over an area of ​​approximately 22 acres, the park is home to many birds, spotted deer, and a few mammals.

“The park has been ordered to be redeveloped to become a leading center for nature conservation education outreach and to act as a center of excellence for the conservation of wildlife, birds , reptiles, etc.” Sahu says.
