After PUBG, now its new version Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) is also prohibited in India? Gamers may be disappointed by this news. This is because Battle Grounds Mobile India i.e. BGMI has been removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. On Thursday, the Battlegrounds Mobile India app mysteriously disappeared from Google Play and Apple’s App Store, after which the case also started to grow on Twitter. Let us tell you that BGMI was launched last year after PUBG Mobile was banned. However, it is still unclear whether India has also banned BGMI or not. But this app is currently not visible on Google App Store and Apple Play Store.
BGMI banned in India or not?
Currently, Android and iOS users cannot download BGMI games to their smartphones. The simultaneous disappearance of this application from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store raises many questions. Will the company bring a major update or will this game also be banned in India like PUBG Mobile. Or it could be that BGMI violated any policy of Google and Apple, due to which it was removed from Play and App Store. However, it can still be downloaded on Android from the third-party APK website, but it cannot be downloaded on iPhone by any means.
The BGMI issue was raised in the Rajya Sabha
The sudden disappearance of BGMI from the App Store and Play Store also raises many questions as his issue had also cropped up recently in the Rajya Sabha. MPs were discussing whether action games have harmful effects on children. The Upper House was discussing a media report that said “the child killed his mother while playing a PUBG game”. The incident happened in Lucknow last month.
According to the PTI, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar said on July 22 that law enforcement was investigating the case. The minister also assured that its previous version, PUBG Mobile, is banned in India from 2020. Meanwhile, a company representative told India Today Tech, “We are clarifying how BGMI has been removed from Google Play Store. and the App Store and will provide more details as we have details.”
