ISL transfer: Sandesh Jhingan leaves ATK Mohun Bagan before the start of the season Sports: Seal of speculation, Sandesh has left Bagan! Where is the star’s next destination?

Eventually, the speculation came true. We will no longer see Sandesh Jhingan playing under the jersey of Mohun Bagan. On Thursday, Sabuj Maroon’s Twitter handle informed that the star defender was leaving the club.

Sandesh’s future at Mohun Bagan has been speculated many times. It was known that the star defender was not at all happy with coach Juan Ferrando’s coaching style. At the end of the ISL and also in the recently concluded AFC Cup, Ferrando did not get along with Tarakar. It is known that Sandesh does not fit into the coach’s training at all.

There are already four foreign central defenders in the garden. With Carl McHugh, Thierry is injured. Florentine Pogba and Brendan Hamill have also been signed for the new season. In such a situation, Bagan Shibir probably won’t face much trouble when Sandesh leaves.

However, after Sandesh joined Mohun Bagan in 2020, massive hype built around the long-bodied stopper. The star joined Croatian side HNK Sibenik on loan last season. However, Sandesh had a bad season due to injuries.

Star returned to Mohun Bagan in the second phase of ISL. But at that time the coach changed to the Bagan camp. Habas resigned and Ferrando took over. Bagan’s new Spanish coach wants to introduce the ball game from deep defence. However, since Sandesh is not a ball player, he couldn’t fit into this formation.

All in all, it was only a matter of time without the star defender’s backyard. This speculation was sealed just a day before the day of Bagan.

Leaving Mohun Bagan, where the Sandesh’s next destination will be, there is a lot of confusion. Many ISL clubs are known to have offers to Sandesh from Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Al Gharafa, Motherwell and Sibenik from Qatar are also launched. But only time will tell which club the super defender will end up signing for.
