Pune: The teacher recruitment scam in Pune district educational institutions has now slipped under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). ED called Pune Zilla Parishad education extension officer Kisan Bhujbal for questioning to get more information.
A few years ago, teachers were recruited from an educational institution in Akurdi on the basis of false documents, while there had been a ban on teacher recruitment in the state since 2012. The investigation found revealed that with the connivance of some education officers, they had taken a salary from the government by recruiting illegally. It was found that the recruitment of 23 teachers was fictitious. This case of bogus teacher recruitment was brought to light by the district council’s extension officer, Kisan Bhujbal. A case was registered at Bundagarden Police Station on October 19, 2019 in this case. In this case, lawsuits have been filed against education department officials of Pune Zilla Parishad, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and related to educational institutions.
