ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SEC) has abolished the requirement of obtaining separate distribution licenses from banks to offer investments in mutual funds and private pension funds to overseas investors with bright digital accounts. This concession has been made available to Pakistanis in view of the ease of investing in Pakistan’s financial sector including asset management companies, mutual funds and private pension industry and the number of investors. However, this permission is only available to banks that are eligible to open bright digital accounts.
