In the year 2021, so far, 63 companies have had Initial Public Offers (IPOs), through which these companies have raised a record Rs 1.18 lakh crore. This is the highest amount ever raised through an IPO in any year.
Haldia said that this year’s largest IPO so far was of Paytm’s parent company One97 Communications, whose size was Rs 18,300 crore. This is India’s biggest IPO till date. At the same time, the second largest IPO this year was of online food delivery company Zomato, which was worth Rs 9,300 crore. The average size of IPOs issued this year so far stood at Rs 1,884 crore.
According to the report, out of the IPOs of 59 companies, 36 companies were subscribed more than ten times, out of which the subscription of IPOs of six companies was 100 times or more. At the same time, eight IPOs got more than three times the bids, while IPOs of the remaining 15 companies got subscriptions ranging from one to three times.
