Meeting on Omicron: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a review meeting on Thursday regarding the increasing cases of Omicron Variant in the country and the current situation. In the meeting, PM Modi took stock of the latest situation regarding Kovid-19 and the preparedness to deal with it. In this meeting with ministers and officials, PM Modi reviewed the current situation of Kovid-19 and directed to expedite the measures to deal with it. PM Modi asked the officials to pay special attention to those states where there has been less vaccination, or more cases are coming and where there is a lack of health facilities. PM Modi has directed to help such states, so that the cases of infection can be controlled there.

Let us tell you that the situation of Omicron in the country is getting serious. So far it has spread in 16 states of the country and the total number of cases of Omicron has crossed 300. The current situation and trends of Kovid were discussed in the meeting and latest updates were given to the Prime Minister. PM Modi discussed all the issues related to Omicron so far, preparations for it, booster dose, vaccine for children and took information from the officials. All top officials of Health, Home, PMO and NITI Aayog were present in this meeting.

The rapidly increasing cases of Omicron have increased the concern of the central government. Especially in view of the celebration of Christmas and New Year, the situation is expected to become more serious. Experts have also predicted a third wave in February.
