16 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 imported from abroad

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (27) that there were 16 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 imported from abroad; there were no new deaths among the confirmed cases.

The command center said that today there are 16 new cases of overseas immigration, 12 males and 4 females, aged between 10 and 60 years old, from the United States (8 cases, case 17027-case 17028, case 17031, case 17033-Case 17037), Vietnam (Case 17029), Hungary (Case 17030), Kazakhstan (Case 17032), Philippines (Case 17038), South Korea (Case 17039), United Kingdom (Case 17040), Germany (Case 17041), and Indonesia (Case 17041) Case 17042) entry, the entry date is between December 12th to December 26th today (2021); please refer to the attachment of the press release for details.

According to statistics from the command center, as of now, a total of 4,884,004 new coronavirus pneumonia-related notifications (including 4,864,380 cases excluded) have been reported in China, of which 16,931 were confirmed, including 2,277 overseas immigration, 14,600 local cases, 36 Dunmu fleet, 3 aircraft infections, 1 case is unknown and 14 cases are under investigation; there are no new cases with empty numbers, and a total of 111 cases have been removed as empty numbers. A total of 850 COVID-19 deaths have been reported since 2020, of which 838 were local. The counties and cities of residence are 413 in New Taipei City, 322 in Taipei City, 29 in Keelung City, 27 in Taoyuan City, 15 in Changhua County, and Hsinchu County 13 cases, 5 cases in Taichung City, 3 cases in Miaoli County, 2 cases each in Yilan County and Hualien County, 1 case each in Hsinchu City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and Taitung County; 12 cases were imported from abroad.

The command center once again urged the public to implement personal protective measures such as hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and wearing masks, reduce unnecessary movement, activities or gatherings, avoid entering and exiting crowded places, or areas with a high risk of infection transmission, and be proactive Cooperate with various epidemic prevention measures and jointly strictly guard the community’s defense line.
