  • Tikait had reached with hundreds of farmers to lay siege
  • Rakesh Tikait again took charge in Muzaffarnagar

Almost two weeks have passed since the farmers’ movement ended. The farmers have returned home, but have the talks of the movement ended? This question is because on Tuesday, Rakesh Tikait once again appeared in the role of an agitator. Just the place was new but the method was the same. This time Tikait had reached Muzaffarnagar with the farmers of his organization to gherao the collectorate. The issue was that some newly elected Zilla Panchayat members are not being given work and are being discriminated against.

The farmers have learned new things and methods in the movement, the same is being prepared to keep alive in the coming days in view of the Uttar Pradesh elections. All the farmers of Muzaffarnagar district reached the district headquarters on tractors. The local administration there was threatened that if their demand is not accepted, then like Delhi, they will sit here with a front and the Bhandara will be started. Perhaps if it had been earlier, the administration would not have taken this whole threat seriously, but the atmosphere has changed after the farmers’ agitation. That is why the top officials of the administration and police reached to persuade the farmers. The administration also immediately assured that a committee of 5 members has been formed to accept the demand of the farmers and since the District Magistrate has gone to Lucknow, talks will be started with the farmers as soon as they come.

Said- If needed, we will hold a meeting around PM’s rally
On January 2, there is also a rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the border of Meerut and Muzaffarnagar, so in his own style, Rakesh Tikait also warned that if needed, he would meet in the vicinity of PM’s rally to get his demands convinced. Will do When Tikait was asked the question that after all, there has been a split in the United Kisan Morcha regarding the elections, then what is the future of such agitation? Tikait replied that some farmer organizations have gone on leave for 4 months and will return to the front after that. An important meeting of the United Kisan Morcha is also to be held on January 15 regarding the decisions taken after the farmers’ movement. In the same meeting, a decision has to be taken on what will happen in the election contesting organizations as well as further talks with the government.
