Progress in the investigation of illegal construction of Nasla Tower

Progress has been made in the investigation into the illegal construction of Nasla Tower in Karachi which was demolished on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

According to investigators, the map of Nasla Tower was approved in 2013, when Safdar Magsi was the director of SBCA Jamshed Town.

Investigators said that Safdar Magsi was also in charge of Deputy Director Town Planning in 2013. The former DBC of SBCA had appointed a retired director of Town Planning.

Investigators say retired officer Badiul Zaman was hired on a contract basis by Manzoor Qadir.

Investigators further said that former DG SBCA Manzoor Qadir was the head of the committee, which included Ashkar Dawar, Safdar Magsi, Ali Ghofran and Farhan Qaiser.

Investigators also say that notices have been issued to all officers to record their statements, and raids have been carried out to arrest some officers.
