2021 was full of success for Pakistan cricket team and cricketers. Many successes at the team level and individually.
Pakistan’s performance in the Test format was excellent. Pakistan played 9 Test matches in 2021 and won 7 of them. Only 2 matches lost.
The Pakistani team played 6 ODIs and lost 4 of them while winning 2 matches.
In T20, Pakistan played 29 matches and won 20 matches. 6 matches lost and 3 ended in a draw. The Pakistan team reached the semi-finals of the World T20 without losing a group match, where it lost to Australia.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s performance in ODIs was excellent. He scored 405 runs with an average of over 67. In Test matches he scored 416 runs at an average of over 34 while in T20 he scored 939 runs at an average of over 37.
This has been a great year for Muhammad Rizwan. He scored the most 1915 runs in international cricket. He scored 1326 runs at an average of 73 in T20 International matches.
Most sixes and most catches. Also make a maximum of 11 T20 fifties a year. In the Test format, he scored 455 runs at an average of 45.
Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi scared everyone with his dangerous bowling. He took 47 wickets at an average of 17 in Test cricket and 23 wickets at an average of 26 in T20.
Fast bowler Hassan Ali took 41 Test wickets at an average of 16 while he also claimed 25 T20 wickets.
