Four members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet pictured the opening of a new restaurant in food chain McDonald’s in Peshawar, giving social media users an opportunity to criticize the ruling party in the province.
A user named Muhammad Fahim posted a picture on Twitter showing three provincial ministers and the chief minister’s special assistant for information inaugurating a McDonald’s restaurant.
Sharing the photo, Mohammad Fahim wrote, “Three provincial ministers and a special assistant are inaugurating McDonald’s in Peshawar. Well done KP government
The photo of the viral inauguration on social media shows Provincial Health Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra, Provincial Education Minister Kamran Bangash and Provincial Minister for Local Government Faisal Amin and Assistant Special Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif among others.

Speaking to Urdu News, Provincial Special Assistant for Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, while dismissing the criticism on the photo, said, “The province has friendly and personal relations and the provincial ministers belong to all.
“Earlier there was panic in Peshawar due to terrorism but now multinational companies are investing here.”
Provincial Education Minister Kamran Bangash told Ardonews: “The opening of a new restaurant by a multinational brand in Peshawar is a good move for the youth. We were invited to the opening ceremony and we attended.
A user named Hayat shared another photo and claimed that the restaurant was inaugurated earlier with a tick tock.
A user named Timur Khan mentioned PM Imran Khan in his tweet and thanked him.
“The provincial government is moving towards development, the hard work of the three ministers will further increase the number of McDonald’s branches in Peshawar,” Timur wrote.
