Coronavirus India Updates: More than 190 countries around the world including India are affected by Coronavirus infection. So far more than 29 crore one lakh people in the world have been affected by COVID-19. This virus has snatched the lives of more than 54 lakh people. The cases of COVID-19 in India (Coronavirus India Report) have started increasing again. The total number of infected has exceeded three crore 49 lakhs. In many countries of the world as well as in India, cases of infection with the new variant Omicron of Kovid-19 are also increasing. Vaccination campaign against Corona is going on in India. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday, the number of corona infected in the country has increased to 3,49,22,882. 33,750 new cases of corona have been reported in the 24 hours ended Monday (from 8 am on Sunday to 8 am on Monday). In this one day, 10,846 patients have been cured. During this, 123 corona infected have died. So far more than three crore 42 lakh patients have been cured. So far more than 4.81 lakh people have lost their lives due to Corona. The current number of corona cases is more than one lakh 45 thousand. Two prisoners and six jail staff have been found infected with Kovid-19 in Delhi’s Tihar Jail complex. Officials said that the condition of none of them is stated to be critical and they are in quarantine. Sandeep Goyal, Director General of Delhi Prisons, said that the cases of Kovid in jails have come after a gap of about five months. The last case of infection came in July 2021.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said that a holiday should be declared from January 8 to 16 in all educational institutions in the state in view of the rise in the cases of Kovid-19. According to an official release, in a meeting with ministers and officials on the rise in the cases of Kovid-19 in Telangana, Rao said that proper arrangement of beds, oxygen beds and medicines should be made in hospitals and testing kits should be purchased as per the requirement. The Chief Minister asked the people to take precautions regarding the threat of Omicron.

According to ANI, 419 new cases of corona have been reported in Punjab. There are 1,741 active cases in the state. In Punjab, 3,071 children were vaccinated on the first day of vaccination of children in the age group of 15-17 years.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel told ANI that there is no lockdown situation in the state yet. I have directed the officials to take appropriate steps. Efforts are being made to increase testing at airports, railway stations. We are continuously monitoring the situation.

According to ANI, 30 persons, including 28 students and two staff members of an ashram school in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, have been found infected with Kovid-19. Thane Municipal Corporation has given this information.

Goa’s Kovid Task Force member Dr Shekhar Salkar told ANI that after the meeting of the Kovid Task Force, it has been decided to stop physical attendance in schools for classes 8 and 9 till January 26. Students of class 10 to 12 will have to come only for vaccination. Colleges will also remain closed till January 26.
