Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday held a review meeting regarding the preparations for ‘Invest Rajasthan 2022’. CM Ashok Gehlot said that the Invest Rajasthan Summit will play an important role in increasing investment and employment along with giving impetus to the economy affected by the adverse conditions of Kovid.

The Chief Minister said that all the departments should work in the spirit of full cooperation and coordination, so that the investment proposals that have come so far should come to the ground. The Chief Minister said that in the last three years, the State Government has taken several important policy decisions, which has created a positive environment for investment in Rajasthan. It should be ensured that the benefits of these decisions of the state government are received during the summit.

Gehlot was reviewing the preparations for the State Investor Summit ‘Invest Rajasthan 2022’ to be held on January 24-25 at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC), Sitapura, Jaipur in a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday.

The Chief Minister said that the preparations for the summit should be good and it should be ensured that the investors should be able to get various approvals easily. He directed to do MoUs and LOIs with the concerned departments by January 15. The Chief Minister said that the MoUs and LOIs that have been done so far should be implemented in a time bound manner.

He appreciated the successful use of MoU and LOI with the investors at the district level and said that the Revenue Department should work pro-actively in the matter of allotment of land for industries. He said that investors should not face any problem in getting various approvals. Also, the process of investment proposals at the level of the District Collector should be completed on time and there should be adequate monitoring of the investment proposals coming through the Collector. Gehlot said that social distancing and other covid protocols should be taken care of during the summit. He directed to keep this summit on virtual mode also so that more and more investors and entrepreneurs can join virtually.

In the meeting, Secretary, Industries Department, Ashutosh AT Pednekar told that so far a total of one thousand 454 MoUs / LOIs worth Rs. 6 lakh 16 thousand 462 crore have been done, through which more than four lakh people will get employment. In the inaugural session of the summit, Rajasthan Petro Zone (PCPIR), RIDCO, Fintech Park, new industrial zone and new industrial areas will be launched. Along with this, about 13 new policies of the state government will be launched to promote investment.

Pednekar said that as part of the pre-preparations for the summit, in the last two months, potential investors in the country and outside the country have been contacted. Along with the Investor Connect event in Dubai during the Dubai Expo in November, events were also organized in Chennai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata to invite new investors. In these programs, along with inviting investors to invest in Rajasthan, Rajasthan was presented as an investment destination. He said that this month, the issue of the summit will also be discussed with the ambassadors of different countries.

The meeting was attended by Agriculture Minister Lalchand Kataria, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas, Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat, Industries Minister Shakuntala Rawat, Transport Minister Brijendra Singh Ola, Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Agriculture Marketing Minister Murari Lal Meena, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Subodh. Agrawal, State Pollution Control Board President Vinu Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Home Abhay Kumar, Principal Secretary Finance Akhil Arora and senior officers of various departments were present.
