The Election Commission has demanded a report on the accounts of PML-N and PPP from the scrutiny committee in the PTI illicit funding case within 10 days.
Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib has requested for speedy completion of scrutiny of accounts of both the parties and PTI lawyer Shah Khawar has requested not to make public the report of the scrutiny committee.
During the hearing, the ECP said that if there is a case related to PML-N and PPP funding today, Farrukh Habib can submit a separate petition regarding his case.
At the request of Farrukh Habib, the Chief Election Commissioner directed the scrutiny committee to submit a progress report on the accounts of PML-N and PPP within 10 days. To be given Let us give our comments, this report should not be made public till then, let the process of scrutiny of accounts of other parties be completed.
The Chief Election Commissioner said that how can all the reports be collected. Provide copies of the report to all parties, Akbar Babar’s lawyer said that in every case everything is public. At the request of the respondent, the report of the scrutiny committee was kept secret.
The Election Commission should order that the parties should not make public the report of the scrutiny committee. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the Election Commission agreed that it was not in a position to prohibit the publication of the report. The Election Commission adjourned the hearing for 15 days.
